Description
Elles, who remains tirelessly fascinated by the work of Vincent van Gogh, couldn’t resist starting with an answer to his sunflowers.
After a decade focused on the city of Amsterdam and its surroundings, Elles now draws inspiration from nature.
Perhaps her upcoming move to a green spot just outside Amsterdam has something to do with it, but more often, it’s the encounter with the white paper above the Amsterdam rooftops. Because the Dutch sky remains a fascinating source of inspiration!
Nature indoors begins in the vase for those who live in a small city; because people love flowers.
In this drawing, you see the life cycle of a flower coming together in a cluster. And because Elles always seeks dynamism and joy in her work, a vase became too static. So, the flowers are thrown upwards, in utter euphoria.
